Baby Abby’s christening

“Pretty much all the honest truth telling in the world is done by children.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

The gloomy and rainy day turned sunny and bright in time for cute and cuddly ABBYGAIL MARIE DELGADO’s christening at the family resthouse in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras! ABBY, as she is lovingly called by nearest and dearest, is the first born of handsome couple RODEL and KATYA DLEGADO. She was feted to a fabulous and well-planned celebration!
The lawn fronting the newly-built and KENNETH COBONPUE furniture and fixture-filled white rest house was converted into an event venue. A quaint chic chapel filled with flowers was surrounded by tents for the reception! Guests from Iloilo and Capiz braved the earlier inclement weather to be see and be seen.
Following the religious rites officiated by Fr. NOEL LIZADA, everyone enjoyed on buffet lunch catered by top gourmet DING MONTELIBANO and Gleca’s.
Dear ABBY, welcome to the Christian world!

Togetherness and happiness

It was a fun gathering of some 80 family members, close relatives and good friends to celebrate singer/composer/pianist MARISA MONTELIBANO-APUAN at her family’s residence. As if on cue, the rain stopped when the guests sang the Happy Birthday song for her. It readied us for things to come that night!
A sumptuous dinner with flowing beer and wine was served in the dining area and lanai while the younger set gathered under the tent set up in the garden.
Everyone enjoyed on specially-prepared AVP the chronicled the celebrator’s life with the songs she composed as soundtrack, a sax-cellent performance and a rendition of the celebrator herself. The entertaining program was hosted by the celebrator’s goodlooking son BRENDAN APUAN.
My best wishes to MARISA MONTELIBANO-APUAN!
