The gloomy and rainy day turned sunny and bright in time for cute and cuddly ABBYGAIL MARIE DELGADO’s christening at the family resthouse in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras! ABBY, as she is lovingly called by nearest and dearest, is the first born of handsome couple RODEL and KATYA DLEGADO. She was feted to a fabulous and well-planned celebration!
The lawn fronting the newly-built and KENNETH COBONPUE furniture and fixture-filled white rest house was converted into an event venue. A quaint chic chapel filled with flowers was surrounded by tents for the reception! Guests from Iloilo and Capiz braved the earlier inclement weather to be see and be seen.
Following the religious rites officiated by Fr. NOEL LIZADA, everyone enjoyed on buffet lunch catered by top gourmet DING MONTELIBANO and Gleca’s.
Dear ABBY, welcome to the Christian world!

It was a fun gathering of some 80 family members, close relatives and good friends to celebrate singer/composer/pianist MARISA MONTELIBANO-APUAN at her family’s residence. As if on cue, the rain stopped when the guests sang the Happy Birthday song for her. It readied us for things to come that night!
A sumptuous dinner with flowing beer and wine was served in the dining area and lanai while the younger set gathered under the tent set up in the garden.
Everyone enjoyed on specially-prepared AVP the chronicled the celebrator’s life with the songs she composed as soundtrack, a sax-cellent performance and a rendition of the celebrator herself. The entertaining program was hosted by the celebrator’s goodlooking son BRENDAN APUAN.
My best wishes to MARISA MONTELIBANO-APUAN!

Après months of preparations and smarting from the success of her launching fashion show, Iloilo’s fashion darling AGNESETTE AUSAN needed to party! She hosted a fun after-party at JLK Bar and Music Lounge for friends and the bright minds behind the show. Indeed, it was partying all-night long to 70s, 80s and 90s music of hotshot DJs EDWIN ZULUETA and WENDELL WANG!
In between sips and spills of fine wine, scotch whiskey, ice-cold beer and infused vodka, and bites of yummy pika-pika, everyone indulged on “kodakan” and selfies!

The motion for (re)consideration was for them to have fun! Yes, the alumni marked the Diamond Anniversary of the College of Law of the University of San Agustin (USA) with loads of vim and vigor. The month-long celebration culminated with a fellowship dinner party at Sheridan boutique Hotel.
Judges, prosecutors and lawyers were dressed to impress not for the courts to argue their cases but to hobnob and enjoy each other’s company at the Ballroom of the sprawling resort in Oton.
The 75th Anniversary Party was dubbed “An Evening of Legal Affair.” No less than the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Hon. ANTONIO T. CARPIO, jetted in from Cosmo-Manille to be the event’s special guest and speaker.
Since 1939, the USA College of Law in Iloilo City has produced some of the best legal luminaries who have occupied various important positions, not only in government service, but also in the private sectors. The college is also prominent for its numerous bar topnotchers alumni and maintains its prestigious title as the No. 1 School of Law in the Island of Panay and among the top performing law schools in the entire Philippines!
The guests were welcomed by Retire RTC Judge MERLIN DELORIA, president of the USA Law Alumni Association, and Atty. JOSE MARI TIROL, the new Dean of the College.
The night’s program was hosted by Attorneys LARNIE FLEUR PALMA-KIM and SEDFREY CABALUNA.
